The weather had a part in the greasy conditions and due to the main pitch being un-playable the match was fought out on "The Hill" at the back. Not easy for both sides but Hinckley seemed to cope with the handling and the breakdown much better in the first half. Some resilience by Bromsgrove kept Hinckley at bay but had the uphill game in the second half. However, some excellent defending and a break by Warren Oliver put Mark Coulson in under the posts for Ben Newman to convert. The visitors came back with a penalty shortly after but it wasn't enough. Bromsgrove retain 2nd place 5 points clear of Hinckley in third but Luton are 10 points behind but with two matches in hand.

Bromsgrove's first win of the season without an answer was hard won and could so easily have been a lot closer.
