*The big screen will be available after lunchers have vacated the function room on 1st XV match days.

Hull Ionians 34
Bromsgrove 32
A fourteen points to seven head start inside twenty minutes for Ionians didn't help Bromsgrove's cause but they certainly put up one hell of a fight and made Ionians work very hard for their victory. Arguably Bromsgrove played the more attractive rugby but to use the Hollywood vernacular, "It don't amount to a hill of beans" if you don't convert it into a win.
Bromsgrove can take heart in their performance today and can rightfully be disappointed in the defeat but to come home with two bonus points from East Yorkshire is not to be sniffed at.
Proud of the lads and another away win can't be too far away. |

Preston Grasshoppers 32
Bromsgrove 19
Nobody expected much from the match for Bromsgrove given the re-shuffle required in the back division due to injury and unavailability but at times Bromsgrove were more than a match for the well drilled 'hoppers and but for a few errors the result could have been closer and even two bonus points were tantallisingly close.

Unfortunately Barkers Butts could not field a side in Round 3C of the National Plate so that puts Bromsgrove Colts in to the 4th Round to play Market Bosworth on Sunday 5th February 2pm KO. We still managed to play a Friendly on Sunday after Droitwich kindly offered and Bromsgrove ran out 66 - 7 Winners in what was a good preparation Match for the 1st Round of the North Midlands Cup next Saturday at Stourbridge! It would be good to see supporters coming to both matches and supporting the future Players of the Club after some excellent wins recently. |

Bromsgrove 23
Stockport 10
Bromsgrove were given one of their stiffest test of the season. Stockport were a big unit and determined to win it up front. However, Bromsgrove opened up the scoring with a classic catch and drive that looked in danger of being disrupted by solid defending by 'port. The maul stretched out but the front men remained attached and Drew Harper dropped over the line to make it 5-0.

Bromsgrove started out a little nervy and Nuneaton's defence was rarely found wanting but on the break 'Grove were devastaing in attack.

After a good win on Sunday against Rugby Lions, the score being 17 - 15, we now face Barkers Butts in the next Round to be played on Sunday 22nd January 2012 at Finstall Park. Kick off will be at 2pm so please come down and support the future of Bromsgrove Rugby Club!
