Despite the distance and the school holidays, Bromsgrove sent a squad of 25 lads to Bredon.
For the first time this season the opposition almost matched our strength in numbers, but that's where the similarity ended.
Game 1 saw The Boars with an overwhelming victory of 4:0.
The forwards, led by 'the General', Nick Sfrantzis prevented Bredon from entering the game enabling regular try scorer, Sam Colebrook to add 3 to his tally and speed merchant, Reece Spiers to score the fourth to seal the game.
A 3:3 result in the second game belies the drama and excitement of this match.
As the score line suggests these two teams were evenly matched and played some solid rugby. Each time Bredon threatened to go ahead the Boars showed tenacity and replied with a try. Excellent team effort, with an outstanding performance by Harry Nichols who bagged all three tries.
The third and final game sealed the victory, 5:1 to the Boars
With one win and a draw in the bag, the coaches had the luxury of experimenting with the team and 'mixed it up a bit' (good technical talk this!!) The formula worked it's magic, resulting in one try a piece for Sam Colebrook (keep them coming, Sam!) Darragh Murray, Nik Sfrantzis, Sam Robinson and Joe Mellor.
Come on you Under 10's!
